Parental/Community Review Opportunity for new BCSD Science Curriculum

The Bullhead City School District is looking to adopt the Savvas Experience Science® Program for
students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The age-appropriate components include:

• Basic (core) scientific ideas for physical science, life science, earth and space science, and engineering
• Science and engineering practices that describe what scientists do to investigate and what engineers do to design and build
• Crosscutting, tying those practices together to discover and learn cause-and-effect

Students will be exposed to three-dimensional science, phenomena-based engagement, and hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) investigations.

Parents and members of the community may review key points of the Savvas Experience Science materials online. A public comment and review window is open through Monday, June 1.
