COVID Response

COVID Symptoms

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms ranging from mild to severe—many of which mimic cold and flu symptoms. According to the CDC, symptoms may appear 2 to 14 days after exposure and include the following:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough/sore throat
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

If your child displays any of these symptoms, keep him/her at home and monitor the symptoms. After testing negative, or being symptom-free for 24 hours, without the aid of medication, you may send your child back to school.
